Kenneth FoxThe Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) have expressed their deep disappointment with the lack of measures in Budget 2024 to address the soaring costs impact the tourism and hospitality sector. “We are now at a crossroads in terms of business costs for labour intensive industries, such as tourism and hospitality. “We’re disappointed that the Government has not committed to keeping the tourism VAT rate under review. “We now have the third-highest tourism VAT rate in all of Europe. “There is a real desire among hotels to embrace further sustainability measures in line with the Government’s Climate Action Plan.
